5 Sweater Styles You Need This Winter

Sweater Weather Essentials

If you’re anything like me, you probably have a plethora of sweaters in your closet, but you still end up rotating your favorite ones and wear them all season! Sometimes it’s hard to find that perfect sweater that’s both comfortable and stylish. As we dive deeper into December, January and February, the weather is going to cool down and you’re going to need a good sweater to warm you up! I’ve rounded up 5 of my favorite styles based on comfort, warmth and trend!

Tunic Sweater

For those of you that love wearing leggings as much as I do, a tunic sweater is a must have! I know people love to say that leggings aren’t pants, but they can 100% be worn as pants — I do it all the time. Tunics look great with leggings, so it’s necessary to have a few tunic sweaters in your closet for the colder months. I’ve linked some below that I know you’ll love!

Turtleneck

A turtleneck is essential. Every woman needs one in her closet! Although turtlenecks are trending right now, they’ve been in style for a long time — dating all the way back to 1860. They were first called the polo neck, but as time went on, the turtleneck gained popularity and now it’s an everyday winter essential!

Crewneck

Crewnecks are the most common types of sweaters and the easiest to find! If you’re looking for a fun print, a colorblock, or a pretty striped sweater, you’ll likely find it in a crewneck! The thing I love most about this classic style is that you can dress it up and down, no matter what the sweater looks like. As you can see below, I styled by sweater with a cute plaid skirt and over the knee boots — a classic, everyday look that can also be worn to a holiday party!

Sweater Dress

I like my sweater dresses like I like most winter outfits, paired with over the knee boots for extra warmth! However, you can also style them with tights and booties. Sweater dresses are perfect for cold weather, everyday looks and holiday parties! There’s really no wrong way to style this type of dress! I wore mine with some cute black booties, a black hat and one of my favorite Tory Burch crossbody purses!

Cardigan

A cardigan is technically a sweater, right? For all intents and purposes, we’re going to consider it! I’m sure by now you’ve seen every blogger talk about the barefoot dreams and b.p. cardigans, but now you get to hear me talk about them! I’ve worn many different cardigans, but those ones are by far the most comfortable and stylish! I’ve linked a few of my favorites below!
