Grapefruit Vodka Margarita Recipe

Even though it’s now officially fall, it still feels like summer here in Charleston, SC. And I’m loving it!! We recently got back from a mountain vacay (recap coming soon!) and were so lucky to sneak away to our dock back home for an impromptu date night. Anyone else feel like they need a break after a trip with kids?! Hah! Our date night consisted of good company, a sunset and some Grapefruit Vodka Margaritas … can’t get much better! Wait … a margarita with vodka?! What about tequila?! 

In general, we tend to gravitate toward vodka when given the choice because of the way it makes us feel. With Blaine and I both of being sensitive to gluten (and gluten free for almost 8 years), certain liquors are “no go”s because of the gluten. But even with the cleanest of liquor brands and that “gluten free” seal of approval, vodka definitely leaves us feeling hangover-free, non-bloated and good!

BUT … we also love the taste of margaritas.

Enter: the vodka margarita. With a little bit of tequila for good measure.
